Kolero (Beyond the Line)

Synopsis

This film examines the toxic inner workings of societal cabals and the elite power structures of Nigeria. It follows several interconnected lives that are upended when a "token of hope" (a character or movement) accidentally crosses a forbidden boundary set by the powerful. The plot is a web of lust, hate, and ruthlessness as the characters seek revenge against the status quo. It is paced as a countdown to a inevitable disaster that the film suggests can only be resolved through divine intervention.
