Now, Ikorodu Boys needs no introduction nau, abi? well, if you insist, Ikorodu bois are a group of teenagers, brothers Muiz Sanni, 15, Malik Sanni, 10, and their 13-year-old cousin Fawas Aina, from Nigeria precisely in Ikorodu local government Area Lagos. What do they do? after school, they basically mimicks celebrity photos by using everyday household items and any other available materials around them. They try to recreate the moment using these basic tools and materials and, believe me, they always do a great job. after going viral in the Nigerian Instagram space, they soon advanced to mimic short videos of celebrities at home, functions, events, concerts, rehearsals, just name it. These they do, using the same tactics they used for photos.
After gaining recognition from Nigerian billionaire, Femi Otedola who has promised and since taken over their academic financial responsibilities, the likes of Nigerian Afro-Beat singer, Davido and other Celebrities including Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY has also rewarded them financially for their creativity. With this level of creativity, dedication and consistency to their craft, the sky could only be their stepping stone.
Bit by bit, step by step, and with dedication, their short videos would soon go across the Nigerian airwaves. This is was what happened when they got their international recognition from several international news media including CNN, Bleachers Report and BBC, to name a few. They have also been recognised by international filmmakers and actors. Notable ones include when they recreated scenes from the season 4 of Netflix's series, Money Heist, one of the lead actors, Alvaro Morte who played the Professor, and Úrsula Corberó who played Tokyo shared the video and gave them a huge shoutout and even did a selfie video to appreciate them but that is just the beginning.

Their most recent creation as at 24th June 2020, where they mimic scenes from Netflix's movie, Extraction, has got them trending on twitter. The official twitter account of the Russo brothers promised to have them in the premiere of part 2 of Extraction. Digitalspy.com has it that the sequel is currently underway.
"Joe Russo confirmed on April 4 that he is returning to write Extraction 2, although it's still in the "formative stages of what the story can be". Before the first movie's release, director Sam Hargrave told Digital Spy that various follow-ups were being considered.
"There have been discussions of different storylines that could take place in different times – both forward in time and backwards in time," he explained.
But why is there this confusion over when the sequel will take place? Anyone who's seen Extraction will know its ending leaves one major question, but in case you haven't watched it yet, spoilers await." They wrote.
This is no doubt a big step for these young lads who are hoping to be great filmmakers in the near future. They have not only done well for themselves, but they have also succeeded in making a good impression of the Nigerian youths and beaming the light on the Nigerian movie industry.
